Josefina is a writer and all-around artist. You might know from her viral articles on Elephant Journal or as the redheaded, sometimes celebrity, portrait and fashion photographer. She also has a rather loud presence on social media.

Josefina has been sharing her words on the internet since she started her social media journey in 2007.

Writing has always been a strong passion of hers, starting early on as a way to keep track of memories. In 2015, she interned with the Elephant Journal. There, she wrote two viral articles, “The Addiction that No One is Talking About” - which speaks about how we as a society have a problem with labeling people - and the article “I Got “Ghosted”: The Effects of the Pervasive Cut-Your-Losses Silent Treatment,” - which speaks to the psychological aspects of why it’s both harmful and yet sometimes necessary to “ghost” someone else. Both resonated with an audience because it gave them an inside look as to why we do what we do as people.

Mostly though, she writes personal essays.

These essays touch on her life experiences with trauma, death, travel and career, as well as psychological topics like trauma-informed healing.

A recent graduate of Pennsylvania State University, she has two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in Psychology and one in Vocal Performance, as well as a minor in History.

Josefina is currently writing her first book(!) - a memoir about her experiences with sexual assault both in and out of the entertainment industry - and how she’s turned her pain into a successful arts career.

When she is not writing, she can be found enjoying cups of coffee, crocheting baby blankets, playing with her seven pets, or behind the lens on a photoshoot.
